Council works to bring empty shops back into use

Landlords of empty shops and budding independent retailers with ideas for new start-ups are being invited to contact Luton Borough Council and learn more about an initiative aimed at attracting more business into two of its high streets.

The Council’s Regeneration Service has just launched a scheme to bring empty shops back into use in George Street and High Town Road, backed by a £52,000 grant from the Department for Communities and Local Government.
